School Profile Beyond The Numbers

STARS Academy (formerly Oak Hill School) is a specialty school within the Tuscaloosa City School district. We currently house the alternative program, a transient program for students who have committed Class 3 behavioral offenses. We strive to meet the needs of our students through a series of academic supports and wrap-around services. Our vision is to foster an atmosphere of high expectations, motivation, and innovation in an effort to move students toward meeting their individual goals. Our commitment to this vision ensures that students are exposed to research-based interventions strategies.
